⚠️ Before You Begin Installation

1. Check Your Box

Before you begin the installation, ensure you have all the necessary components. For a T6.1 van or a T5/T6 van with heated seats and/or airbag sensors, you should have:

The Kiravans double swivel console
Wiring kit containing a bag of multicoloured wires
Kiravans special bolt with hole for securing the swivel at its centre.

For standard T5/T6 vans without heated seats or airbag sensors, you will only receive the double swivel console (no wires or additional bolts are required for installation).

2. Remove the Bulkhead

Before installing your double swivel, make sure to remove the bulkhead and metal strip. Watch the video guide below. If this has already been removed, scroll down to our fitting videos.

The process for installing this swivel to a VW T5, T6, or T6.1 van is mostly the same, but if you have a T6.1 or a T5/T6 with heated seats/airbag sensors, there are additional wiring steps. The video below covers all versions; skip past any parts that don’t apply to your van model.

Safety Information

TÜV Deutschland: Our VW T5/T6 Double Swivel has passed all the requirements of TÜV Deutschland (Teilegutachten Nr.135XT0004-00), including in-vehicle pull testing and a SLED test in Germany.

TÜV has witnessed & approved the following safety tests:

20g forward and backward sledge test
In-vehicle seat belt anchorage test to EC Directive 76/115/EEC as amended by 2005/41/EC & to ECE Regulation 14.07

STATUS Certification: Our double swivel has also passed seat belt anchorage safety tests conducted by STATUS (Specialist Testing Facility at Manchester Met University) using a pull test on a specialist test rig to EC Directive 76/115/EEC as amended by 2005/41/EEC.
